Laura has more than 25 years of experience in the international trade and transportation industry together with a degree in Communications & Public Relations and a post graduated title in Marketing and International Commerce.

She has a vast knowledge of customs regulations and operations gained over the years working for International Logistics and Transportation Companies.

Career

Prior joining IOR Global, Laura was working as Independent Consultant based in London for Latin American exporters who wanted to expand into the European market and vice versa, European companies that need support in Latin America, mainly on customs regulations to be able to import their products.

During her career, Laura worked for multinational freight forwarders and shipping lines in different positions, from Customer Service Supervisor to Sales Manager, handling a wide variety of clients from different industries (telecommunications, automotive, clothing, toys, electronic equipment, etc). She brings into the team an extensive knowledge and experience in operations, project implementations and very important focus in customer care.

She travelled extensively throughout America meeting with customers, operational teams and authorities, her strength is to have a solid experience to work directly on the field where the operation takes place.

Achievements:

• Successfully managed operations and teams in AMER region
• She led implementations with different clients and projects as well as obtained Customs exceptions adapted to IOR Global business model.
• Ensures that all transactions and shipments meet both local and global legal requirements. Monitoring closely compliance to mitigate risks and prevent potential delays.

She has lived in Argentina, England, USA and currently resides in Chile.
